Our History & Accomplishments Over the Years
Valley Community Housing Corporation started in July 2002 as a startup non-profit to develop affordable homes in Franklin County. The Board of Directors envisioned building stronger neighborhoods, better homes and brighter futures for families throughout Franklin County. Valley Community Housing Corporation achieves those goals with each new development.
Valley Community Housing Corporation begins working in communities from the ground up. We meet with local community leaders to discuss the needs of their neighborhood and develop a plan that works. This model for business development, creates lasting partnerships with our Franklin County locales and most importantly creates homes that families are proud to call home.
Our homes lease quickly and provide beautiful homes to many working families and seniors in settings that combine the comforts of a local town with the feel of country living. We have built and sold four homes in downtown Chambersburg to first time homebuyer families in an area that benefits from the stability of family owned homes and later became a catalyst for further growth and development in the same block.
On the horizon we are in development of a brand new uniquely styled apartment complex for the elderly in downtown Chambersburg known as Parkview Corner. Parkview Corner represents a true community collaboration where we worked with the Borough and School District to ensure the needs of the senior community are met.
